Clint Eastwood has reportedly entered early talks to direct the “Jersey Boys” musical adaptation at GK Films.
Warner Bros. Pictures previously picked up the project but put it into turnaround. With Clint onboard, it’s thought they will probably come back to it.
Eastwood looks to have jumped on the project because casting issues have delayed his planned remake of “A Star Is Born”. If Eastwood signs, “Jersey Boys” will go first.
Jon Favreau was previously attached as director. The story is based on the popular Broadway musical that chronicles the life of singer Frankie Valli and his group The Four Seasons. John Logan (“Hugo”) adapted the screenplay.
