Officially the third title in the rebooted “Tomb Raider” video game series has yet to be announced. Even so, the title is effectively known and there’s multiple hints that the next is on its way.
This weekend though has seen some apparent art from the game pop up online. Appearing in a PSU article from a NeoGaf posting, the art has reportedly been traced back to the website of marketing studio TAKEOFF Creative which creates promotional material for video games.
TAKEOFF have apparently done work with game series producer Square Enix before, and have offices in Montreal – with Eidos Montreal rumored as the developer of the newest title in the series.
The art showcases a number of logo concepts for the game, as well as key art that explores different locales with a pyramid being the most reoccuring motif. Lara also boasts several weapons including a machete and a spear.
We’ll probably get our first look at a “Shadow of the Tomb Raider” later this year with the game hopefully launching sometime in 2018.
