Sony PlayStation won’t be the only one skipping E3 this year with Electronic Arts confirming that while EA Play will return to the showroom floor, EA will be skipping the main conference stage.
EA’s press conference at E3 last year featured “Anthem,” “Battlefield 5” along with several other titles. However “Anthem” has been an outright mess since launch, and “Battlefield 5” has struggled with issues and competition along with delays that aren’t doing it any favours.
EA will replace their press conference with a series of live streams that will air over the course of the three-day event. They say the aim is: “bringing you more of what you’ve told us you want – more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games.”
Sony previously announced it would be skipping E3 2019 because it felt it didn’t have enough to show, and would instead be focused on its own events. E3 runs from June 7th-9th this year.
