Electronic Arts has reportedly cancelled plans for an open-world “Star Wars” game according to multiple sources for Kotaku.
In 2017 it was announced Visceral Games, the “Dead Space” developer who had begun working on an open-world third-person “Star Wars” action adventure game with “Uncharted” trilogy writer Amy Henning, was shutting down and the game they had planned would be retooled with EA Vancouver taking charge.
Now comes the report that the game won’t be happening at all. None of EA Vancouver’s open-world game has been shown publicly and it’s not clear what EA Vancouver’s next game will be.
Respawn’s “Jedi: Fallen Order” game, an entirely different beast, is currently scheduled for late 2019.
