Netflix has decided not to move forward with more episodes of “Lady Dynamite,” opting not to renew the comedy series for a third season. No reason was given for the decision.
“Lady Dynamite” was co-created by Mitchell Hurwitz and Pam Brady and starred Maria Bamford as a woman who had a unique and specific point of view through which she saw everything – one which lent itself to fantasy sequences and jumps into a distant future.
The first season consisted of twelve episodes, while the second season launched in November last year came in at eight. Fred Melamed, Ana Gasteyer, Mo Collins, Mary Kay Place, and Ed Begley, Jr. co-starred.
The news was better for SundanceTV’s “Liar” which was renewed for a second and final season which will air in 2019. The psychological drama stars Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd with the former playing a woman who becomes entangled in dangerous and volatile situation after a seemingly innocuous date goes awry.
The news was also good for “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” which has been renewed for a third season at National Geographic.
