Kirsten Dunst (“Spider-Man”) and Jesse Plemons (“Breaking Bad”) have joined the cast of the second season of FX’s “Fargo” in starring roles.
Dunst will play Peggy Blomquist, described as “a small town beautician with big city dreams who is trying to figure out who she really is and what she really wants as she struggles with traditional societal expectations.”
Plemons is her husband Ed, “a butcher’s assistant who wants to be supportive of his wife’s self-discovery, even if he doesn’t quite understand it.”
Set in Sioux Falls in 1979, the ten-episode second season of the anthology miniseries will feature new characters and a younger version of Keith Carradine’s Lou Solverson. While FX has confirmed Dunst and Plemons, they’ve yet to confirm the previously rumored Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice”) and Nick Offerman (“Parks and Recreation”).
