Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb have scored the lead roles of The Utopian and Lady Liberty, respectively, in the upcoming “Jupiter’s Legacy” series adaptation at Netflix.
Based on Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s 2013 comic, the story begins when Sheldon and Grace Sampson and a handful of their friends stumble upon a mysterious island where they gained superhuman abilities. Establishing themselves as the first generation of superheroes, they form the Union of Justice.
Years later, the pair had two children, Chloe and Brandon, who inherited their own set of powers but have also developed a cynical attitude toward superheroes and struggle to find their places in the shadow of their famous parents.
Elena Kampouris and Andrew Horton will play the kids, one uses his powers for endorsement whilst the other is a troubled model and clubgoer. Also onboard are Ben Daniels as Brainwave and Matt Lanter as Skyfox.
“Daredevil” first season showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will serve in that capacity here and will also write and direct the pilot episode. DeKnight, Millar, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, and Dan McDermott will executive produce.
