Saul Dibb (“The Duchess”) is taking on another period piece, this time the 19th century-set “Spider Dance” says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a young American woman who arrives in a repressed part of colonial Sydney, Australia with an extensive entourage of actors and other celebrities in tow.
She soon proceeds to shock the locals with her uninhibited ways. The story will also follow her addictions and romantic pursuits.
John Rhys-Davies has already landed a role in the Peter Sumner-penned film. Filming begins next year in Australia and Germany.
