Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Selena Gomez, Chloe Sevigny, Rosie Perez, Austin Butler, Steve Buscemi and Tilda Swinton are set to star in “The Dead Don’t Die,” a new zombie comedy from renowned indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch (“Paterson,” “Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai”) which has been setup at Focus Features and Universal Pictures International.
Jarmsuch has not officially announced the project but filming is already underway in Upstate New York with the first set photos of Murray in action popping up at the Daily Mail. Murray is spotted in the photos playing a police officer alongside colleagues (Driver and Sevigny), and Butler covered in blood and fake gore with Gomez’s character also in a blood-stained shirt.
Murray mentioned the movie back in March calling it a “zombie script that’s so hilarious”. He also mentioned Daniel Craig had a role but whether that’s still the case is unclear. Jarmusch previously tried out the supernatural with cult hit “Only Lovers Left Alive” starring Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton.
At present “The Dead Don’t Die” has no release date or talk of distribution at this point. Check out all the photos at Daily Mail.
