Legendary poster artist Drew Struzan is rumored to be coming out of retirement for “Star Wars: Episode VII”.
Struzan painted various pieces for the original trilogy between 1977 and 1983 along with the triptych he did for the 1997 re-releases of the original trilogy.
Schmoes Know claims Struzan will return to create three more posters for the new trilogy that tie into the previous look and style of the ones he created for the first two trilogies.
J.J. Abrams himself reportedly contacted Struzan, asking him to come out of retirement for this special occasion. Though its rumored Struzan has agreed to do it, neither Disney nor LucasFilm have confirmed his return to the franchise.
Struzan’s last poster before retirement was for 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.
