Drew Barrymore To Join “The Heist Society”

Drew Barrymore is in negotiations to produce and possibly direct the caper film “The Heist Society” for Warner Bros. Pictures and her own Flower Films reports Variety.

Based on Ally Carter’s 2010 novel, the story centers on a teenage girl balancing school and her family’s criminal activities. She soon must assemble a crew to steal back a mobster’s priceless art collection in order to save her father.

Shauna Cross (“Whip It!”) has penned the adaptation while Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan will produce.
