The Hollywood remake of “Time Crimes”, the cult low-budget 2007 Spanish time travel film, has been moved from United Artists to DreamWorks says Deadline.
The original is a complex science fiction thriller in which a man repeatedly goes back in time an hour in an attempt to alter the events of a crime.
Acclaimed scribe Steve Zaillian has committed to rewrite the script which Tim Sexton penned the early drafts of. Zaillian is also producing along with Agnes Mentre.
Zaillian also wrote upcoming projects such as Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” David Fincher’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and Bennett Miller’s “Moneyball”.
Nacho Vigalondo, who penned and directed the original, serves as executive producer.
