Jim Sheridan’s supernatural thriller “Dream House” has been temporarily pulled from the release schedule by Universal Pictures reports Variety.
The story revolves around a man (Daniel Craig) who moves his family into a quaint new house in a small town, only to find out that the place is haunted by the former inhabitants that were murdered there. Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts and Marton Csokas also star.
Shot in February and March this year, the project test screened back in July. Soon after it was determined some full cast reshoots would be required, however by that time Craig had committed to Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys and Aliens” and David Fincher’s currently shooting “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.
Craig gets a two week break from shooting ‘Girl’ in December, which is when Sheridan will shoot the required additional footage in Toronto with Craig on hand.
The lateness of the shoot however means the film won’t be ready in time for the originally scheduled February 18th release date. A new date has yet to be scheduled.
