Dragonball Delayed 8 Months

‘Zephyr’ is back with a quick update on release date changes in the last few days:

“The most prominent change is Dragonball. The 20th Century Fox adaptation of the legendary Japanese animation series has been delayed from August 15th 2008 to April 3rd 2009.

It was a necessary move to allow more time to develop the anticipated heavy special effects. The move does put Fox in an unfortunate predicament – a rather quiet Summer 2008 line-up with only “The X-Files 2” and “The Happening”.

Uwe Boll’s Postal movie is going to open in theaters on May 23rd 2008, where it is going up against “Indiana Jones”.

Crossing Over, a Weinstein Company drama starring Harrison Ford, Sean Penn, Ray Liotta, and Ashley Judd, will come out August 22nd 2008.

The Accidental Husband has moved one week from August 15th to August 22nd.

Hamlet 2, the Focus Features comedy about a desperate director played by Steve Coogan makes a desperate move by producing a sequel to Hamlet, will come out August 22nd 2008, then release wide on August 29th.

Journey 3-D has yet again moved back from August 8th to July 11th to avoid being crushed by “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, plus it would be the only kid-geared release for July.”
