Downey Returns For “Spider-Man” Reshoot

Over the weekend, Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo of himself as Tony Stark alongside actors Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan participating in a ‘secret shoot’ for this July’s “Spider-Man Homecoming”.

Reports came last month that additional filming had gotten under way on ‘Homecoming’ in Atlanta, but it wasn’t clear how long these reshoots would take. There was no indication in the photo posted if this was a part of the same reshoots or for a separate piece such as a possible post-credits stinger.

The latter seems likely as Holland was spotted earlier this week in a similar outfit during filming earlier this week for a scene that involved DJ Khaled and Stan Lee – see that picture below.

The scene with Downey & Favreau is apparently NOT for the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” which is still very much in production. The other day that film had a set video leak (also below) with either Holland or a stuntman performing a scene in a Spider-Man costume.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” opens on July 7th, while “Avengers: Infinity War,” which has also been filming scenes at Durham Cathedral in London, hits May next year. Filming is about to begin in Atlanta on Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp” under the code name “Cherry Blue” and an open casting call is now out for extras.

New set video of #Spiderman in #AvengersInfinityWar. Looks like a new suit too, unless they're gonna cgi most of it #SpidermanHomecoming #Avengers
