Doug Liman (“Edge of Tomorrow,” “The Bourne Identity”) is in negotiations to direct a film adaptation of British author Philip Reeve’s upcoming children’s book Railhead at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The novel is set in a futuristic world where trains run through space via portals. A petty thief is hired to steal an object that happens to be more important than he was led to believe, setting off a potentially galaxy-changing adventure.
Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan will produce. Reeve is best known for book series like the Larklight trilogy, the Mortal Engines Quartet and the Fever Crumb series.
