Double The Gyllenhaal In “Enemy”

Jake Gyllenhaal is in negotiations to star in the dual lead roles in “Incendies” director Denis Villeneuve’s dark and edgy indie thriller “An Enemy” at Rhombus Media, Roxbury Pictures and Mecanismo Films reports Variety.

An adaptation of Jose Saramago’s novel “The Double”, the story revolves around a dysfunctional history teacher who accidentally discovers his exact double on a rented DVD, seeks him out and ends up turning both of their lives upside down.

Javier Gullon is penning the script while Niv Fichman and Miguel Angel Faura will produce. Villeneuve will helm the film before tackling the Hugh Jackman-led “Prisoners”.
