Set seven years after the first film, little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey are now eighteen and on a roadtrip to Los Angeles when they are plagued by bizarre visions.

Daviegh Chase will reprise her role as Donnie’s younger sister, and will be joined by Justin Chatwin, Ed Westwick and Briana Evigan Chris Fisher (“Nightstalker,” “Rampage: The Hillside Strangler Murders”), will direct.

Producers have spoken to Richard Kelly about the project but he is not involved in any official capacity at this stage – neither is any of the original cast such as Drew Barrymore, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Mary McCormack.
