“Dodgeball” Network ESPN8 Becomes Real

ESPN8: ‘The Ocho’, the memorable fake ‘almost sports’ cable network from 2004’s “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” is becoming a reality.

EW reports that ESPNU is being transformed for a day into ESPN8: The Ocho which will feature re-run broadcasts of ‘the finest in seldom seen sports’ including American disc golf, cornhole, roller derby, kabaddi, trampoline dodgeball, fire fighting, arm wrestling and darts.

Sadly no mention of Gary Cole and Jason Bateman, the actors and comedians who played commentators Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks, being involved in the broadcast which will take place this coming Tuesday, August 8th. The full schedule is as follows:

4am: 2016 Sky Zona Ultimate Trampoline Dodgeball
5:30am: Firefighters World Challenge
8am: 2016 Kabaddi World Cup Final
