Advanced negotiations are reportedly underway to film Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” movie at the Pinewood-Shepperton studios in the U.K. next year reports Screen Daily.
The trade publication says Marvel has already begun preparations with a crew being assembled to move into Shepperton facilities either at the end of this year or very early next year. The actors would then step in front of the camera in May.
Though Marvel hasn’t specified which of its various staked out dates will be for the “Doctor Strange” film, it’s expected July 8th 2016 will be targeted.
Scott Derrickson is set to direct from a screenplay by Jon Spaihts, Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly. The story follows Stephen Stange, a former neurosurgeon who becomes the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats.
