“Doctor Strange” Featurette Finally Gets Trippy

Marvel has been pushing the message hard that the upcoming “Doctor Strange” film will feature visuals and effects never seen before on screen, and ones very faithful to the 1960s trippy art of the Steve Ditko comics. So far all the trailers and TV spots have played it fairly safe on that front, mostly offering kaleidoscopic visuals that evoke “Inception” more than anything else.

That changes with a featurette today which finally offers some of the reality-bending trippiness that seems less folding cities and more acid flashback as we journey into the Marvel’s mystical realms. We’ll see the results for ourselves when “Doctor Strange” hits theaters November 4th.
