Disney Trademarks bin Laden’s Killers

Why do I picture Mickey Mouse as an Uzi-carrying soldier of fortune when I hear this story?

The Walt Disney Company has put in an application to trademark Seal Team Six, the covert team of Navy Seals behind the mission which lead to the death of Osama bin Laden earlier this month.

According to Media Bistro, the application was filed two days after bin Laden’s death was announced and covers clothing, footwear, headwear, toys, games and entertainment and education services. Could the Mouse House be planning a franchise based on their exploits?

Whatever their plans it has nothing to do with Kathryn Bigelow’s “Kill Bin Laden” project which Joel Edgerton signed for the other week.
