Disney and Pixar have announced that the title for their second original animated feature film opening next year will be “Soul”.
Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Up,” “Inside Out”) helms the film which “takes you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions”.
The film is currently slated to open exactly one year from today – June 19th 2020. Dana Murray (“Lou”) produces the film which follows on from the Dan Scanlon directed “Onward” opening March 6th.
Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” opens this weekend and is reportedly headed for a $140 million domestic and $230 million global debut weekend.
