Launch day for any web-based service is always fraught with difficulties – server overloads, code glitches and consumer demand either coming in way below or above expectations.
Disney launched its Disney+ service earlier this morning and whilst initially flowing smoothly, there’s been some obvious problems as much of the U.S. went online early this morning.
With a large number of people not only using the service but excitedly exploring it, some understandable tech issues have cropped up. Some can’t access the service at all, many are having issues with streaming specific films or shows.
The studio has issued the explanation: “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”
Disruptions have appeared to decline as the day has worn on.
