Bravo’s limited series “Dirty John,” starring Eric Bana and Connie Britton, has opened to strong ratings – becoming the most-watched scripted telecast in the cable network’s history.
“Dirty John” also finished ahead of most other scripted shows on cable for its launch week with the premiere drawing 2.1 million viewers in Live+3, with replays the total audience grew to 3.8 million viewers. It only trailed “The Walking Dead” in ratings demo, and virtually tied with “Greenleaf” and “Doctor Who”.
The series, based on a podcast and series of articles from the Los Angeles Times, has a two-season order with Bravo.
