NarniaWeb reports that a director has now officially been attached to the third “Chronicles of Narnia” film, “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.
Earlier this year it was announced that Andrew Adamson would not be directing the third film due to other commitments. The new helmer’s name has not been revealed, but it is confirmed that ‘Treader’ is already in pre-production.
Set predominantly on an assortment of unique islands on the eastern Sea of the land of Narnia, the film follows the two youngest Pevensie’s – Lucy and Edmond, along with their obnoxious cousin Eustace Scrubb as they join King Caspian on a quest to find the seven lost Lords of Narnia.
Location scouting is underway to select suitable sites for filming, and early reports have suggested Malta is one location under consideration.
Filming on “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is currently underway at Prague’s Barrandov Studios. Travel Blog revealed that the famed Cathedral Cove area of the Coromandel Peninsular in New Zealand was used for some location shoots on “Caspian’.
