Diesel Talks “Last Witch Hunter” Sequel

Vin Diesel’s period action fantasy drama “The Last Witch Hunter” doesn’t reach cinemas until October 23rd, yet Lionsgate is preparing to turn the property into a potential franchise starter with plans for a sequel already being planned.

In the movie, Diesel plays a valiant witch hunter who manages to slay the Queen Witch, but not before she curses him with her own immortality which stops him from ever reuniting with his wife and daughter in the afterlife. In the present day, he is the only witch hunter left so when the Queen Witch is resurrected, only he can stop her from destroying the human race.

Speaking on his popular Facebook page about sequel possibilities to the new movie, Diesel said:

So the studio apparently is so excited by the Last Witch Hunter – The Axe and Cross franchise… that they are already…

“The Last Witch Hunter” faces some stiff competition this Fall as it goes up against “Crimson Peak,” “Bridge of Spies,” “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension,” “Goosebumps” and “Jem and the Holograms”.
