DiCaprio Joins Enron Scandal Movie

Warner Bros. Pictures and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company are set to tell the story of Enron’s collapse reports Variety.

Based on New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald’s “Conspiracy of Fools,” DiCaprio will play a newcomer to the Houston-based energy company who slowly peels back the layers to expose the campaign of greed and fraudulent accounting that drove Enron into bankruptcy in 2001.

Sheldon Turner (“The Longest Yard”) has been set to write the script and DiCaprio will produce. Turner script is a thriller incorporating factual events and lending an outsider’s view into how people within the corporation reacted to the increasing pressure.
