Dicaprio Biel Producing Facts Of Life Remake

A reboot of long-running 1980s sitcom “The Facts of Life” is reportedly in the early stages of being assembled at Sony Pictures TV, Jessica Biel’s Iron Ocean Films and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production companies. The potential series is currently looking for a writer.

The “Diff’rent Strokes” spin-off aired on NBC from 1979-88 and followed a housemother at the fictional Eastland School, an all-female boarding school in Peekskill, New York. The series focused on issues that teenage girls face such as drug use, sex, eating disorders and peer pressure.

Charlotte Rae, Lisa Welchel, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon starred. This follows on from Sony TV successfully rebooting another Norman Lear classic “One Day At A Time” which will soon get a third season on Netflix.
