DiCaprio Begins Talks For “Django Unchained”

After weeks of online speculation, Leonardo DiCaprio is now in early talks to play one of the lead villains in Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti Western meets slavery feature “Django Unchained” reports Heat Vision.

Momentum has reportedly built in recent days for the Oscar nominee to pull the trigger on commencing formal negotiations. The story follows a slave named Django in the Old South who teams with a German bounty hunter to search for his wife.

DiCaprio would play Monsieur Calvin Candie, the owner of a plantation named Candyland, a playground for him to sexually torture women slaves while forcing male ones to engage is death matches.

Candie wins Django’s wife in a poker tournament. The character doesn’t appear until the second hour of the script, but when he does he dominates the screen until the film’s end.

Samuel L. Jackson is expected to play Candie’s house slave and secondary villain Stephen. Will Smith was in talks to play Django but that no longer seems to be the case, no further word if rumoured replacements Jamie Foxx and Idris Elba are any closer.
