DeVito, Burton To Reunite On “Dumbo”

Danny DeVito is negotiating to re-team with Tim Burton for Disney’s live-action take on the 1941 animated classic “Dumbo” which is currently casting.

DeVito is trying to juggle his current Broadway commitments so that he can join the film as Medici, a man who runs a smaller circus that gets acquired by the evil big top circus villain Vandemere. His deal is said to be essentially done.

Eva Green also stars as Colette, a French trapeze artist who works for Vandemere, in the story of the beloved baby circus elephant with the big floppy ears.
