Adam Devine (“Workaholics”) is in talks to join Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson in the romantic comedy “Pitch Perfect” at Gold Circle Films and Universal Pictures reports Variety.
Based on the nonfiction book by GQ’s Mickey Rapkin, Kendrick plays a rebellious, goth student endlessly complaining about having to attend a school where her father is a professor.
She soon manages to swap that for the singing stage when she discovers her musical talent and makes waves as one of the best warblers in the school’s a cappella group. Devine will play the leader of said group.
Jason Moore (“Avenue Q”) directs from Kay Cannon’s script. Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman are producing. Shooting kicks off next month in New Orleans.
