DeVincentis Pens “Night Stalker” Reboot

D.V. DeVincentis (“Grosse Pointe Blank,” “High Fidelity”) has been set to write Disney’s big-screen adaptation of “The Night Stalker” reports Heat Vision.

Johnny Depp remains attached to star and Edgar Wright is attached to direct the project based on the 70’s ABC cult television series “Kolchak: The Night Stalker”.

The show followed Carl Kolchak (Darren McGavin), a reporter who investigated bizarre crimes committed by supernatural agents. Stuart Townsend starred in a short-lived TV revival a few years ago.

Depp is producing with Christi Dembrowski.
