Details On New “Spider-Man” Villain The Tinkerer

Earlier this week came the news that “Orange Is The New Black” star Michael Chernus will play the villain The Tinkerer in the currently filming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” at Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.

How he would be involved in the narrative though is the big question. We know that Michael Keaton is set to play the primary antagonist The Vulture, while Logan Marshall-Green has already been confirmed to be taking on an undisclosed villain role as well.

Heroic Hollywood has posted up a new report about the Chernus’ character. According to the site, the character was fired by Tony Stark a few years back and sets out to prove Stark made a mistake by letting him go. As a result, he’ll be using recovered Chitauri technology to create gear for both The Vulture and Shocker – something the young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will have to take on.

The Tinkerer being involved with Stark would also explain Robert Downey Jr.’s key role in the Jon Watts-directed film which is currently targeting a July 2017 release.
