Hugh Jackman has reportedly dropped out of PalmStar’s “Collateral Beauty” with Johnny Depp being sought to replace him. Jackman’s exit is said to be due to scheduling regarding the upcoming third and final stand-alone “Wolverine” movie which will stop him from filming “Collateral Beauty” this year.
The story centers on a New York advertising executive who experiences a deep personal tragedy. When his colleagues devise an unconventional plan to break him out of his depression, it works but not in a way that anyone imagined.
Allan Loeb penned the script for the film which originally had Jackman and Rooney Mara attached to star and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“Me And Earl And The Dying Girl”) to direct. Mara remains attached, and filming begins this Fall.
