BAFTA-nominated showrunner Michael Hirst (“Vikings,” “The Tudors”) has launched his own independent production company Green Pavilion Entertainment alongside producers Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn.
Green Pavilion Entertainment will develop and produce high-end dramas for international and domestic markets and is set to work with both new and established writers and directors. They’ve also struck an exclusive first-look deal with MGM Television.
The first project in the deal will be a television series remake of “Ronin,” the 1998 John Frankenheimer spy thriller starring Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Natasha McElhone, Jonathan Pryce and Sean Bean. No further specifics are available.
Sharon Remmer (“The Man in the High Castle,” “Medici: Masters of Florence”) will serve as creative director at Green Pavilion.
