“Den of Thieves,” “Forgive Me” Begin Production

Filming has commenced on the action thriller “Den of Thieves” which marks the directorial debut of Christian Gudegast. Gudegast and Paul Scheuring (“Prison Break”) penned the script.

Gerard Butler, Curtis Jackson, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Brian Van Holt star in the action thriller which follows an elite crew of bank robbers sets out to pull off the ultimate heist – nabbing the $120 million in cash taken out of circulation and destroyed by the Federal Reserve every day.

To do that though, they have to go right under the noses of Los Angeles’ most feared division of law enforcement. STX Entertainment will distribute the film worldwide.

Production has also officially begun in New York City on Fox Searchlight’s “Can You Ever Forgive Me?,” the new Melissa McCarthy-led feature about celebrity biographer Lee Israel.

When Israel was no longer able to get published because she has fallen out of step with current tastes, she turns her art form to deception with the help of her loyal friend Jack (Richard E. Grant).

Marielle Heller (“The Diary of a Teenage Girl”) helms from a script by Nicole Holofcener (“Enough Said”) and Jeff Whitty (“Avenue Q”). Jane Curtin, Dolly Wells, Anna Deavere Smith and Jennifer Westfeldt co-star.
