Newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr. has been cast as rap legend Tupac Shakur in the upcoming biopic “All Eyez on Me”.
Shakur has sold more than 75 million albums. Earlier versions of the script chronicled his rise to superstardom, his imprisonment on charges of sexual assault, and the East Coast-West Coast rap war.
Jamal Woolard has been cast as Biggie Smalls, a role he played in 2009’s “Notorious”. Benny Boom helms the film which just launched production in Atlanta.
Carl Franklin and John Singleton had previously been attached to direct the project during earlier stages of development
