Elizabeth Debicki (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”) and Isabella Rossellini (“Joy”) have joined the cast of the upcoming Virginia Woolf biopic “Vita & Virginia” at Protagonist Pictures.
Set in 1920s London, Debicki will play Woolf opposite Gemma Arterton in the period drama, which tells the true story of the unconventional love affair between socialite Vita Sackville-West (Arterton) and Woolf.
Chanya Button (“Burn Burn Burn”) helms the film from a script co-written with famed actress Eileen Atkins who wrote the play the film is inspired by.
Rossellini’s role has not been disclosed, while Rupert Penry-Jones and Peter Ferdinando also star. Filming begins on location in Ireland in September.
