Following their multiple covers revealed earlier today, EW has debuted several new photos from “Avengers: Infinity War” which features shots of many of the heroes coming together for the first time.
In the film a new danger has emerged from the shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. The fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
Along with the photos, the report says assumptions that many of the key characters will die in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” and its fourth one are correct. Contracts are up and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has spoken clearly about sunsetting characters for good. He tells the outlet:
“This time is different. People need to be careful what they wish for… The notion of an ending, the notion of a finale, became very intriguing to us, in large part because you don’t see it that often in this particular genre.”
Robert Downey Jr. was asked if he’d like to keep playing Tony Stark to which he responded: “I’m definitely a hang up your jersey before they boo you off the court type guy, just because I still have an appropriate fear of embarrassment.” Co-writer Stephen McFeely adds: “It’s safe to say we will say farewell to people.”
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olson, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Sean Gunn, Tom Holland, Paul Rudd, and Josh Brolin.
“Avengers: Infinity War” is slated for a release in cinemas on April 27th.
