One’s news, one’s gossip and both deal with remakes of some classic high-concept late 70’s/early 80’s genre films.
First up, much maligned director Paul W.S. Anderson has confirmed to MTV News that David Carradine will have a cameo in the upcoming “Death Race” remake.
Carradine starred in the 1975 original “Death Race 2000” as the film’s protagonist Frankenstein, the most celebrated racer in the sport.
Meanwhile, Spielberg News has picked up the interesting rumor that Josh Brolin is being pursued to take over the role of Snake Plissken in the upcoming “Escape from New York” remake.
Gerard Butler was previously attached to the role, filling the shoes of the eye-patched character made famous by Kurt Russell, but left late last year.
