No question, the most talked about success story of early 2016 has been “Deadpool,” Fox’s R-rated and foul-mouthed self-aware superhero comedy film which has eclipsed so many other more serious (and more expensive) efforts in the genre both in terms of critical love and box-office achievement.
Ahead of the film’s Blu-ray and DVD release on May 10th, Fox has unveiled the first deleted scene from the movie – a montage of Deadpool training, killing, masturbating, drinking and more. Check that out below.
At the same time, the film’s director Tim Miller tells Deadline that at one point Fox asked if the film’s narrative could be made more linear. Miller says: “The [studio] note that frightened me the most was, ‘We should make this linear.’ The story was always this fractured narrative, and to be honest, it’s a pretty simple story. To tell it linearly would not make that exciting of a movie.”
