A new report at My Entertainment World indicates that filming on the much-anticipated “Deadpool” sequel is targeting a May 1st start in Vancouver and is going by the working title “Love Machine”.
That would be in keeping with the film’s proposed 2018 release, but that date has yet to be confirmed by Fox. Meanwhile rumors continue to stir, especially in regards to the casting of two new key roles – Cable and Domino.
Recently the frontrunners have been Pierce Brosnan as Cable and Kerry Washington as Domino, and Washington responded to those rumors at the Writer’s Guild Awards on the weekend where sounded enthusiastic but diplomatic about the idea. She told ExtraTV:
“I don’t have anything to say about that! [The Deadpool 2 writers] know more than I do. Of course I would [want the part]! But you have to get the right person for whatever role.”
Washington previously voiced Princess Shuri in an animated “Black Panther” TV mini-series in 2010 and had roles in the two “Fantastic Four” films at Fox last decade.
