Directing teams are becoming a more common occurrence these days in live-action films, and one of the most sought after helming duos right now are Chad Stahelski and David Leith who broke through with last year’s very well-received action flick “John Wick”.
Today, El Mayimbe has dropped a report saying the duo are being sought by Warner Bros. Pictures to take the helm of an upcoming film set in the DC Cinematic Universe. Which film might that be? “The Flash,” “Aquaman,” “Shazam,” “Cyborg” and “Green Lantern” have to lock down directors.
Yet the same post also suggests that the Batman villain character of Red Hood is “now a priority character for DC” and may even get his own film.
It seems in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” there’s a visual easter egg regarding the former Robin, and the storyline continues on through “Suicide Squad”: “Jason Todd’s uniform is in a display case inside the Batcave! In fact, The Joker & Harley Quinn are estranged in ‘Suicide Squad’ because she feels guilt over the death of Todd.”
That report however is very much a rumor for now and should be treated as such.
