Jared Stern, the scribe behind the “Batman” and “Ninjago” LEGO movie spin-offs, has been hired to pen and direct the animated feature “Super Pets” for Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment.
The film will follow the antics of the pets of DC superheroes, though it’s unclear if it’ll use the “Legion of Super-Pets” comics or the Cartoon Network series as the basis for the script.
Pets in the comics have included Krypto the Super-Dog, Aquaman’s seahorse Storm, Damian Wayne’s dog Titus, Harley Quinn’s hyenas Bud and Lou, Bat-Cow, Clay Critter, Flexi the Plastic Bird, Streaky the Super-Cat, Beppo the Super-Monkey and Comet the Super-Horse.
Stern is also writing and executive producing adaptations of Dr. Seuss‘ classic children’s book “Green Eggs and Ham” for Netflix and “The Cat In the Hat” for Warner Bros. Animation.
