Chris Pine is adding yet another franchise property to his belt with his new role as WWI fighter Steve Trevor, the love interest to the titular Amazonian in the “Wonder Woman” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures. Speaking with Total Film, Pine talked about his support for star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins and the vision they have for the project:
“It’ll be a f–king blast. Patty’s got a tremendous sense of story, I couldn’t be happier to be supporting Gal in what’s going to be the first female-driven superhero film. I think in the world today we’ve had plenty enough of male-driven everything and it’s finally time to see how wonderful the world can be with beautiful, strong intelligent women kicking some major ass.”
In related news, Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new German TV spot for Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” which contains a few extra bits of unseen footage. The clip comes as DC Comics Movie reports that that tickets are already on sale in Germany indicate that the runtime for the film will clock in at 151 minutes.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens March 25th next year. “Wonder Woman” opens in cinemas on June 23rd 2017.
