David O. Russell Sees “Silver Linings”

The Weinstein Co. has attached David O. Russell (“Three Kings,” “I Heart Huckabees”) to write and direct an adaptation of Matthew Quick’s novel “The Silver Linings Playbook” says The Hollywood Reporter

The story follows Pat Peoples, a former high school teacher who, after being released from a four-year stint in a mental institution, moves back in with his mother; he then seeks to remake himself in the hope of reconciling with his ex-wife.

Michelle Raimo (“Chocolat”) is producing and the project is currently out for casting.
