David Mackenzie To Helm Spy Tale Jett Day

“Starred Up,” “Hell or High Water” and “Outlaw King” director David Mackenzie has begun early talks to direct the spy thriller “Jett Day” for Warner Bros. Pictures.

“Ozark” creator and “The Accountant” writer Bill Dubuque penned the film which follows a black ops agent on a mission to prevent a newly-discovered diamond mine from falling into Russian hands.

Dubuque, Jon Berg and Mark Williams will produce the film which it’s hoped will kick off a franchise.

Mackenzie was previously rumored to be on the shortlist of directors for the next Bond film until Danny Boyle and later Cary Fukunaga got that gig.
