“Baggage Claim” director David Talbert is set to pen an adaptation of Cheryl Jarvis’ 2008 novel “The Necklace” at Fox Searchlight.
The story follows a California woman, who bought a diamond necklace with a dozen other women with the goal of sharing it.
This helped lead to the jewelry’s transformation from a symbol of exclusivity to one of inclusiveness.
Talbert is not yet on board to direct.
