Dark Knight Rises Auditions, Filming

Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises” is almost two months away from its planned shoot in the Pennsylvanian city of Pittsburgh from July 28th through August 21st.

Now, an open casting call for ‘victims and perpetrators’ has been released via SWD Casting for the film (using its secret filming title “Magnus Rex”).

Casting sessions will take place at the Omni Hotel in Pittsburgh over the next two weekends for men and women ages 18 and over. They’re looking for all types, though specifically favouring the following kinds: “Prisoners/Thugs, Guards, Police Officers, Business Men & Women and Sports Fans”

Valid Photo ID is required and there is no sign-up fee. Full details can be found here.

Meanwhile the production itself is currently shooting in Croydon in the U.K. where the Delta Point landmark building (pictured above) will be used for a sequence that will see its demolition. Said destruction will be entirely done by computer, the building itself will be unharmed.

Rumors from the set (via Moviefone) indicate the building is doubling for a Gotham hospital where Alfred (Michael Caine) is there as a patient.

Filming moves to Scotland shortly with scenes to be shot at Inverness airport. The production will then move to the U.S. in early July.

This news comes almost a week after strange viral videos appeared on the YouTube channel ‘TheFireRises ‘ which give vague hints as to an Arkham Asylum breakout in the film.
